BTA Expo Sheffield

Had a great day out at the Bonsai Traders Association Expo at the Don Valley Stadium In Sheffield today.
Loads of traders stalls and some amazing bonsai on show.

Sadly this was the last time this event was held at this venue so I thought I capture some impressions of the day.

First Autumn Colour

I love this time of year when the first of the autumn colour starts to slowly creep up on you.

Just a few of my small trees have started to turn.

Bonsai Car Boot Sale in Doncaster

Another Bonsai Car boot coming up soon.  All details are on the flyer below.

These events are well worth visiting as many of the trees, consumables and pots are sold at a fraction of the price you would pay from a Bonsai nursery or on line supplier.  What's more, they are a great day out and a chance to chat to other Bonsai enthusiast.

I am waiting to see if my diary is clear and may well book a few tables to move on some of my "surplus" material.

All loaded for tomorrow's Bonsai car boot sale

I thought I make an early start tomorrow, so I spent this morning to get the van loaded with the goodies for the car boot sale.  Lots of pre trained and raw material, everything from Azalea to Zelkova, and some Naruko and a few bottles of lime sulphur.
Having spent nearly 45 minutes to squeeze everything in, I noticed that I hadn't loaded the trestle table, so unload and start again.
Anyhow - it's all in apart from a few pots I will need to sort out this afternoon.

Bonsai Car Boot Sale

This is a new event, and is held at the Hertfordshire Garden Centre in Rebourn.

Hopefully the turnout is good enough  to help make this an annual event.

I have booked a stall to sell some of my "surplus" material and bits and pieces of consumables and pots and hopefully get a chance to have a look for some bargains.

So if you are free and in the area, pop down and support the event.
